Hey guys, just thought I'd qoute what Intel has to say about their new chips. This may clarify a bit about what you have to do to use them.

I found this little tidbit on Intel's site.

Moving forward, the IntelĀ® PentiumĀ® 4 processor family features a new LGA775 pin configuration compatible with Intel 925/915 Express chipset-equipped motherboards featuring an LGA775 socket. The LGA775 processor package enables power efficiencies necessary for 3.60GHz and higher processor frequencies that run data intensive business, multimedia, and gaming applications. The new package also includes enhanced pin-out for optimizing the layout of the motherboard and Direct Socket Loading (DSL) to prevent package pullout and heat sink loading.

Well that just means "Got a new CPU? Then you have to get a new motherboard as well!" What a way to dick your customers over, huh? Well with change comes spending.
