Hi TopKnot and welcome. You probably have the news module installed. Since the stories module is based on the news module they have common tables and cannot be installed together.

Trying to install your hack of Stories 0.93 I get the following error message:


Table 'xoops_stories' already exists

Unable to install stories. Error(s):
Back to Module Administration page

Looks like the "News 1.53" module conflicts with "Stories 0.93"????

I'm just guessing this is the problem or maybe it's just my problem?

XOOPS 2.0.16 is what I am using. Need any other info I'll be glad to provide it.

Well it could be possible but not likely. If it was that easy it would negate the purpose of encryption because it could be broken on another machine at will.

If you do find such a software please let me know, I still have my lost files here somewhere.
